I am a writer, a teacher and scholar, and a grassroots, community activist.  I am currently a PhD candidate in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at Ohio State University.  My writing has been published in a wide of outlets including Chicago Literati, Story Club Magazine, Polychrome Magazine, Racialicious, and Electronic Intifada.

If We Knew Trans History

How would our thinking change if we knew transgender history?  The If We Knew Trans History Project aims to explore the ways transgender history can help activists understand ourselves and re-imagine our future.  This public history project is by and for transgender people and social justice organizers. 

Picture Books

I am seeking representation as a children’s author.  I have written three picture books for children ages 4 to 8 years old.  My work features characters that are underrepresented in children’s literature and stories that have gone untold.  I am a graduate of the Children’s Book Academy and the recipient of a Yuyi Morales Diversity Merit Scholarship.  For pitches and queries, please contact me.
